Fully restored 1871 Second Empire Victorian mansion, nestled in 33 acres of gardens, rolling meadows, ponds and woodlands. Original antiques that fill the parlors, library, dining room and sitting room. Play the 1869 Steinway square grand piano featured in the magazine 'Steinway'. Savor the solitude of natural surroundings or enjoy beautiful architecture inside including the famed "flying staircase". Stretch out on the grand porch or hide away on the romantic second floor balcony. Afternoon treats with tea or your favorite beverage are complementary upon check-in. Relish staying where Samuel Clemens chose to be a frequent overnight guest. We offer eight guest rooms, all with a private bath in the rooms. The Rosewood Room offers the "most expensive bed" in the state of Missouri you can sleep in. The John Garth Room has the best view of the gardens, and Avie's Room is best described as beautiful! Always rated as Missouri favorite B&B.

Lots of amenities including walking trails, paths, whirlpool tubs and hot tubs. Come feed the llamas and alpacas some carrots and they'll you forever. Even bicycles you may borrow.

Named after the previous owners Great Aunt Avie, this large room is the brightest bedroom in the mansion. This room sets the stage for romance with its pastel blue and white. The morning sun filters through the lace curtains. A laced full canopy floats over your Queen-sized feather bed hung from the 12-foot-high ceiling. The room has a private bath with shower. The remote-controlled fireplace for cold months features the original Carrera marble. This room was originally John Garth's room; it adjoined the Rosewood Room years ago.

This cottage overlooking the woods has a King-sized bed. The bathroom offers a ten by four-and-a-half-foot shower with eleven showerheads, including ones that rain down from above. This cottage offers the ultimate in romance.

Enjoy 2 fireplaces when it's chilly outside! One fireplace gives ambiance to your whirlpool tub in the bath area. The second in your bedroom.

With a deck overlooking the pond and a hot tub, as well as a spiral staircase leading up to the gorgeous loft area, the romance just doesn't stop in this cottage.

To add even more you will enjoy heated towel warmers, and a private water closet with bidet.

A warm room done in mauve with a ribbon border surrounds this wonderful room. A Queen sized canopy bed and lots of charm will be yours. Alone together, turn your back on the outside world. There are three windows in this large open room facing the wooded side. Even on the third floor, not another house can be seen. This room also has a private bath with a shower in suite.

This two room, one bath cottage features a Queen bed.

The kitchenette includes a mini sink, microwave, coffee maker, toaster oven, and a mini fridge stocked with soda and water on your arrival.

The living room consists of a comfortable couch and chairs just waiting for you to settle yourself in to watch cable or movies on the TV. A duel window fireplace lets you watch the fire from either the living room or the bed room during the cold months.

The bedroom also has a TV and back door leading to a private deck with a wonderful Hot Tub. The water is always hot and ready for you to slide in and enjoy the awaiting water therapy.

The bathroom has an large floor space and a shower. Your towels will also be toasty warm when you get out of the shower after hanging on our heated towel rack. The bathroom features two doors one leading to the living room and one to the bedroom.

Are you coming with another couple or children? The living room has a Queen sized Murphy bed that pulls down from the wall!
